Who we are

The Social Investment Agency is a small government agency with a big mission - to do what works for better lives.  We demonstrate the value of using data, technology, and people’s lived experience to support decision making across the social system. We trial and champion innovative ways government, NGOs and community can work together. Alongside service users we explore, test and develop tools and insights to help all parts of the social system do more of what works for better lives.

We opened our doors in July 2017 and are now moving from start-up, to grown-up. We’re out to add smart people to our permanent talent pool who are agile, curious and hardworking, and who instinctively care about the wellbeing of others. If that’s you - read on.

Who we are looking for?

You will have:

  • Strong relationship management skills and an ability to work collaboratively within SIA and with our social sector partners.
  • A good understanding of the non-Government organisation sector/social sector.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience working the interface between Government and NGOs.
  • Demonstrated ability to see the ‘big picture’ and understand the strategic context of projects.
  • Sound political awareness.
  • Superior communication skills - both verbal and written.

Are you courageous? Do you want to support the development of new ways to talk, work and meet with communities?  Karanga mai ki a matou.
