Social Investment Agency announced

The Minister Responsible for Social Investment Hon Amy Adams announced on 21 April 2017, that the Social Investment Unit will be replaced by a new Social Investment Agency (SIA). The SIA will be launched on 1 July 2017.

The social investment focus is fundamentally about changing the lives of the most vulnerable New Zealanders by focusing on individuals and families, understanding their needs better, and doing more of what is most likely to give the best results.

“Greater use of data and evidence, and a focus on measuring outcomes, means we can create a system that looks for more opportunities to intervene sooner and more effectively,” says Ms Adams.

Updates on the SIA will be available on our website.
