New data explorer available

The Social Wellbeing Agency has developed a new explorer tool to assist with the response and recovery from adverse weather events.

CIE(external link)“We have combined a detailed and suburb-level understanding of community wellbeing alongside actual cyclone impact.  Communities themselves know what they need, and this tool provides information we know to have a shared view," says Chief Executive Renee Graham.

"The need for good information increased following the adverse weather events that have impacted communities across the North Island.

“We have brought together publicly available and new data in one place for communities and decision-makers to explore.  We don’t expect the tool to have all the answers, but with this data decisions can be better informed.

"We’d love feedback on the tool – how it is being used, what data people would like added to it over time,” she said.
