This IDI analysis was undertaken to identify and understand a cohort of young people with the highest needs. We considered 10 negative social outcomes that can be seen in the IDI. This information can help us develop and implement effective services that improve lives. Analysis of this kind is an important part of doing social investment, helping us identifying and understanding populations of interest. These insights show that cohorts of young people are experiencing complex needs and there were missed opportunities to intervene in their lives earlier to improve their outcomes.
